Jonathan Schaeffer

Jonathan Schaeffer brings an analytical approach to the insurance business after working for eight years in the investment banking and private investment arenas. Jonathan’s unique background allows him to craft innovative solutions tailored to the personal and professional goals of the individuals, families and businesses with whom he works.

Jonathan began his career as a professional baseball player with the Minnesota Twins and Oakland A’s Athletics Baseball organizations.

From June 2001 to July 2003, Jonathan was an investment banking analyst for Goldman, Sachs & Company, where he worked within the firm’s Leveraged Finance Group. He worked with numerous corporations across multiple industry sectors and focused on leveraged buyouts, acquisition financing and capital-raising through the bank and bond markets. Jonathan’s transaction history while at Goldman Sachs includes transactions in excess of $6 billion.

Following Goldman Sachs, Jonathan became Vice President of Business Development for The Convex Group, a private, diversified media and entertainment technology holding company. He then became the Vice President of Business Development for Waveland Capital Partners, a private investment firm. While at Waveland, the firm deployed over $250 million of capital, making direct investments primarily into domestic energy projects and companies.

After years in the financial services industry, Jonathan moved into the life insurance business by joining Gilbert Krupin Insurance and Estate Planning. At the beginning of 2011, he joined Parq Advisors where he continues to focus on life and disability insurance planning for the affluent market. Jonathan is a Registered Representative with FINRA and holds his Series 7, 62 and 63 licenses.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Stanford University, where he was a member of the Varsity Baseball Team. He received the Scholar Athlete Award and was named All-American and Pacific Ten All-Conference.

Jonathan is a member of the Board of Directors of the Men’s Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He and his wife Zoe, live with their three daughters in Los Angeles.
